NIH Intramural Center for Alzheimer’s and Related Dementias (CARD)

CARD is a collaborative initiative of the National Institute on Aging (NIA) and National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS) that supports basic, translational, and clinical research on Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias. CARD’s central mission is to initiate, stimulate, accelerate, and support research that will lead to the development of improved treatments and preventions for these diseases.

May 2024 Symposium and Workshop: Engineering Induced Pluripotent Stem Cells (iPSCs) to Model Neurological Diseases

Join CARD, the Chan-Zuckerberg Initiative, and The Jackson Laboratory for a symposium and hands-on workshop focused on the genome editing and use of iPSCs from May 6-10, 2024. The one-day symposium on May 6 will be in a hybrid format and highlight new technologies for genome editing. It will feature the co-directors of CARD's iNDI project. The four-day lab-based workshop from May 7-10 will be in-person and provide state-of-the-art knowledge and training in iPSC disease modeling and methods.
